On Thursday 15th March from 5pm to 7pm we will be attending the East Leake Academy Careers evening. This superb event has a host of different types of businesses all willing to share advice and information on different career paths. So, if you are struggling to make career decisions and want to speak with different businesses around the East Midlands pop along and get some expert advice.
The academy have worked hard to ensure that there is a good split of businesses from Government Services, Large Corporates, Medium and small businesses. We very much fall into the Creative area and are happy to be on hand and offer advice to anyone who is interested in a career in photography and what they need to be looking at as exams and interests.
Captcha have had some great people work for us whilst studying university degrees and we have been proud to help and support them in their educational pursuits, goals and end of year projects. Brendon Cornellison now works as a researcher in TV and Documentaries, Award Winning Photography Matt Horan started off his photographic life with us at Captcha and most recently Becky Lewis has just finished photographing London Fashion Week and secured a role working for Getty Images. Her heart is in the fashion world. Captcha has been a great stepping stone for these guys and whilst Mandy and I are happy to keep our feet firmly in Captcha Photography, we are really proud to say we have done our bit in helping new blood get good training that has then led them to pursue bigger dreams.
Images attached are from Becky's end of year exhibition for her fashion branding and communication degree at Nottingham Trent University, she went on to do a masters in photography that has led to her obtaining work at the famous Getty Images. She based her exhibition on fashion in the other 50's and was supported by Captcha as she used our studio, lighting and equipment as well as printing facilities. We are very proud of all that she has achieved.
