Captcha's policies with respect to COVID-19

 We’ve received an increasing number of enquires regarding COVID-19 (CoronaVirus 2019) and wanted to provide more information for all our customers. Below is an outline of our plan and policy, as it currently stands. This is provided for information purposes and is in no way intended to cause any concern. If the situation changes regarding COVID-19 we will look at changing our policy.


We are closely monitoring updates from the Public Health England regarding COVID-19. We will continue to take measures to ensure the health and safety of both our customers and staff. The wellbeing of our customers and staff is always a priority for us.

The nature of our work puts us around different people. This includes weddings, studio photoshoots and events/commercial work. We have (and continue to operate) a very high standard of hygiene both at our studio and while on location. We are considerate to the fact we work around a large number of people of various age ranges and health levels. This means we are taking  steps and being overly cautious, purposely for the health and wellbeing of everyone.

Key Points…

* Studio – we are offering  all of our customers the option to delay and reschedule a booking with us without facing any additional costs.

* Studio will endeavour to keep its normal hours of Monday 9 to 3pm.  Tuesday to Friday 9 to 5:30pm (with extended evening appointments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and Saturdays 9am to 1pm.

* Wedding photography bookings will carry on as scheduled, with heightened hygiene precautions. If customers wish to postpone a booking, this can be done at no additional cost as long as new dates are available.

* Printing & Framing, we can still print at our studio including any mobile phone or camera images and if necessary drop off to home.

Studio Facilities…The well-being of our clients is paramount. Whilst we may get it and experience a form of flu and recover, it’s all about those less able to fight the virus. In addition to our customary high standards of hygiene, we’ve implemented a heightened cleaning regime in the studio.  We will wipe surfaces, door handles, light switches etc with disinfectant wipes before and after any shoot.

You will still get a warm welcome but we won’t shake hands, no offence I’m sure you’ll understand why.
We will remain open as long as possible. The studio is not a high traffic area- its only myself and Mandy, so hopefully we can minimise any risks easily and continue to provide a safe environment for an enjoyable and productive shoot even in this difficult time.

Obviously if any of your party have any symptoms- dry cough, temperature, difficulty breathing then we can reschedule the shoot, obviously with no cost involved.

Similarly if we move into a lockdown situation then shoots can be rescheduled until the problem runs its course.  If you feel more comfortable with an outdoor shoot and not in the studio, we can look at these options too.

If any of us start to display symptoms then we will close immediately and postpone all shoots and self isolate.

Wedding Photography…We are carrying on with wedding bookings as planned, unless advice from Public Health England changes. We will exercise a heightened level of hygiene precaution at wedding events. This is done out of an abundance of caution and for the benefit of all our customers. This includes avoiding any physical contact including hand shaking, we will also keep a sensible distance from others and we will also take regular (brief) breaks for hand washes or sanitising.

In the event of our becoming ill or needing to self isolate there are a number of photographers who work alongside Captcha Photography and we will first contact them for their availability.  If they are not available we would look at replacing our services with another professional photographer, as per our contract. We have a network of photographers we work with. We will work with our customers to cause minimum disruption. Weddings are fixed event dates, meaning it’s incredibly hard (and costly) to cancel a wedding event.  As such, wedding photography bookings will be a priority for us to attend.

Any of our wedding customers who wish to delay or transfer their booking to a new later date can do so free of charge. Your booking would simply be transferred to the new date (providing it is available) please contact us to check. This applies to both existing and any new bookings until further notice. Customers can change their booking by contacting us via e-mail (we require a written copy of any change of date request and will issue new confirmations). Changes should be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled event, whenever possible, to allow us time to process any such request.

We encourage any wedding photography customers to keep us informed of any changes in circumstance to their booking. This includes contacting us as soon as possible if their booking alters for any reason – including cancellation of the event or if they should unfortunately find themselves with COVID-19 or display symptoms.

In the event that Public Health England advice discourages events or gatherings including weddings we will offer rescheduling of the event to any affected customers. We also recommend that you also refer to your wedding insurance for specific details in the first instance. We’re here to help and you can always contact us.

Printing & Framing…We can still print from your mobile phones or cameras any images on either our High Street Glossy Printer (up to 8”x6”) in size.  Or our High Quality Inkjet Printer (up to 36”x24” in size).

You can email us images at contact us and we can print and either drop off or post to your homes. For large or a number of files please use the remote facility of We Transfer  We have a variety of frame styles in stock but you can also request bespoke frames and sizes as we can currently still make these up for you and deliver to your homes.

We stock the smaller sized frames in different sizes and colour combinations/styles, our bespoke framing service will still continue as long as we can get the mouldings. 

All Frames and or prints can be delivered locally within East Leake or posted to your homes (at basic postal rates) frames can be delivered outside East Leake but may incur an additional charge.

Payment can be made by BACS, Paypal, Credit or Debit cards over the phone.

On A Personal Note…We have been incredibly touched by the support and kindness shown to us by our customers, landlords, suppliers, wedding partners and the community of East Leake. We do not take this for granted and just grateful that we live in a brilliant community. We appreciate that these are very uncertain times and the patience, understanding and support has not gone unnoticed. We’re thankful to everyone who continues to support our business and we assure you we’re working hard to make sure things run as smoothly as possible. Although this situation is somewhat uncharted territory, it’s fabulous to see the helpfulness of those around us.
